Kerala's Bevco Hits Record ₹125.64 Crore Liquor Sales on New Year's Eve

Kerala celebrated the New Year with a boom in liquor sales. The Kerala State Beverages Corporation (Bevco) recorded its highest-ever single-day turnover on December 31, 2025. Bevco sold liquor worth ₹125.64 crore across its outlets and warehouses. This was a jump of ₹16.93 crore compared to last year's ₹108.71 crore on the same day.
Among all outlets, Kadavanthra in Kochi topped the list with sales of ₹1.17 crore. Palarivattom followed with ₹95.09 lakh, and Edappal with ₹82.86 lakh. The lowest sales came from Kanjikuzhi outlet in Thodupuzha, with ₹4.61 lakh.
In volume terms, Bevco sold over 2.07 lakh cases of foreign liquor, beer, and wine on December 31, 2025. This beat last year's count of 1.84 lakh cases for the same day.
For the financial year 2025-26 so far, cumulative liquor sales stand at ₹15,717.88 crore. This already exceeds ₹14,765.09 crore recorded during the same period in the previous year.
The Kadavanthra outlet also marked a record on Christmas Eve with sales reaching ₹66.88 lakh.
