Hyderabad Water Supply Cut for 18 Hours on Jan 3-4 for Emergency Repairs

The Hyderabad Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) will stop water supply for 18 hours in several city areas. The disruption starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, and will last until 4 a.m. on Sunday. Emergency repairs will fix leaks in the 1600 mm diameter Phase-III main pipeline between Pedapur and Singapur, a key water source under the Singoor project. Besides, the Electricity department will carry out work near the Peddapur feeder close to 132 KV Kandi Substation. The areas affected include Malaysia township, Madhapur, Kondapur, Doyens section, Indian School of Business (Division 15); Bharat Nagar, Moosapet, Gayatri Nagar, Balanagar, parts of KPHB, Balaji Nagar (Division 9); Fatehnagar (Division 6); Gopal Nagar, Hafeezpet, Mayuri Nagar, Miyapur (Division 17); Pragathi Nagar (Division 22); and BHEL, MIG-I & II, Rail Vihar, University of Hyderabad, Chandagar (Division 2). Residents are advised to plan accordingly during this water outage.
