On the night of January 2, 2026, a man allegedly sexually assaulted his minor daughter in a village in Peddapanjani mandal of Palamaner division. The accused, said to be drunk, took the girl out of the house and assaulted her in a nearby forested area. When the girl’s grandmother tried to stop the attack, the accused also assaulted her. Police confirmed the victim is the daughter of the accused’s first wife. The girl was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. Palamaner police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and have launched a hunt for the accused.
