Andhra Pradesh Minister P. Narayana, MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, and State Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Azeez laid the foundation stone for Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam International School in Nellore on Sunday. The school is being built at Parameswar Nagar on Waqf Board land. It will be the first in the state by the Waqf Board to serve the educational needs of marginalized communities. Minister Narayana, also an educationalist, said education is key to success. He urged people to work for 100% literacy in the state. He thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister N. Lokesh for reforms helping underprivileged children get education. Chairman Abdul Azeez criticized previous governments for treating Muslims as a vote bank. He praised the NDA government for giving real benefits to the community. MP Prabhakar Reddy promised ₹20 crore for improving the school's infrastructure. Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, NUDA Chairman K. Srinivasulu Reddy, and acting Mayor Roopkumar Yadav also attended the event.
