Members of Kakinada Coastal Sports Club met Sport Authority of AP (SAAP) chairperson A. Ravi Naidu at his Vijayawada office on Monday. They invited him to be the chief guest at the Kakinada Gold Cup Hockey Tournament-2026, scheduled from February 4 to 14. The club members shared plans for a modern hockey academy worth ₹2.5 crore in Kakinada. This new academy will meet national standards and help develop hockey in the state. Mr. Ravi Naidu congratulated the club founders, Ravi Chandra Prasad and A. Babji, for their efforts in promoting sports. He also unveiled the medals to be awarded to the tournament winners.
