Bengaluru Traffic Police have warned riders of two-wheelers and four-wheelers against using high-intensity lights and unauthorized extra lamps. Starting January 7 until the 13th, a special enforcement drive will take place. Many motorists have been fitting red, yellow, and blue colored lights or excessively bright headlights on their vehicles. This has caused nuisance and discomfort to other road users, especially at night, and raised accident risks. Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Bengaluru, Karthik Reddy, has ordered strict checks during the drive. Police will register cases against offenders and impose penalties. The move aims to reduce road hazards and improve safety on Bengaluru roads.
