On Thursday, Himachal Pradesh High Court received a bomb threat through email. The court authorities alerted police and bomb squad immediately. Officials said bomb squad, dog squad, and police reached the site fast. After a thorough search, no explosives were found inside the court complex. Officials stated, "The threat turned out to be bogus as nothing was found in the court." As a safety step, court security was strengthened and strict watch is ongoing. Police confirmed the email's source is still unknown and investigation continues. Similar bomb threat emails were sent on the same day to courts in Odisha’s Cuttack, Sambalpur, and Deogarh districts. The Himachal High Court has faced similar threat emails before, in June last year. Authorities are taking all warnings seriously to protect court staff and visitors.
