Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said his government will bring world-famous universities to Amaravati. He spoke at the golden jubilee of Siddhartha Academy in Vijayawada. Amaravati already hosts private universities like VIT, SRM, and Amrutha. "We are ready to do whatever it takes to ensure the world’s best universities come here," he said. Mr. Naidu pointed to the $15 billion Google data centre being built in Visakhapatnam. After the Centre's National Quantum Mission announcement, Andhra Pradesh moved fast to set up a quantum computer in Amaravati. "It will be operational in six months," he said. Courses on quantum algorithms are ongoing for students and professionals. The CM praised Siddhartha Academy’s role in making Vijayawada a key education hub. The Academy runs 18 colleges with about 28,000 students across fields like engineering, medical, law, and more. He assured full government support for the Academy's plan to start an agriculture college. Mr. Naidu stressed the need for value-based education. To strengthen ties between parents, students, and teachers, the government holds “Mega Parent–Teacher” meetings twice a year. He declared Amaravati's progress "unstoppable" despite some jealous forces trying to block it. He said the region, including Vijayawada, Guntur, and Amaravati, will become one of the best urban areas in India. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for Viksit Bharat by 2047, and we aim to make this region Swarna Andhra by then," he added. Beyond IT, Mr. Naidu is focusing on Artificial Intelligence and quantum technologies. Along with the quantum computing centre, the state plans to build quantum computers within four years. Two satellite companies will set up a Space City in Tirupati and a Drone City is coming in Kurnool. Medical equipment, defense, and semiconductor industries are also growing. Tech-enabled governance is improving public services, including digital health records under the Sanjeevani project. Present at the event were Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath, MLA Gadde Rammohan, MLA Mandali Buddha Prasad, and Siddhartha Academy leaders M. Rajaiah and P. Lakshmana Rao.
