AAIB Probes IndiaOne Air Crash Landing Near Rourkela; Six Injured Are Stable

A small nine-seater IndiaOne Air Cessna Grand C208B made an emergency crash landing near Rourkela, Odisha, on Saturday, January 10. Six people onboard—including two pilots and four passengers—were injured but are now stable. The aircraft departed from Bhubaneswar and declared a 'Mayday' at 1:20 p.m. before making a forced landing in an open area near Kansor. On Sunday, January 11, a three-member team from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) started its probe. They took aerial pictures of the crash site using a chopper provided by the Odisha government. Odisha's Principal Secretary of Commerce and Transport, Usha Padhee, said, "The probe is being done as per the guidelines and SOP of the DGCA." She also noted the state government has arranged full support for the investigation. Medical teams, including two specialist doctors from Bhubaneswar, are monitoring the injured closely. The Directorate of Aviation stated, "As per the latest health bulletin, all passengers are safe and stable. One passenger remains under close and continuous medical observation." The Odisha government has provided prompt medical care and ensured the highest safety standards during the probe.
