US Forces Used Mysterious Sonic Weapon in Venezuela Raid, Eyewitness Claims
January 11, 2026
Venezuelan soldiers were left bleeding from the nose, vomiting blood, and unable to stand after the US reportedly used a strange, powerful weapon in an attempt to capture President Nicolás Maduro earlier this month. An eyewitness account, shared by the White House press secretary on X, described how a small group of American soldiers overwhelmed hundreds of Venezuelan security forces using unseen technology. The White House has not confirmed these claims but sparked questions about a sonic weapon.
A Venezuelan guard told the New York Post the attack started without warning: “We were on guard, but suddenly all our radar systems shut down without any explanation.” Soon, dozens of drones and a few helicopters appeared. Then about 20 US troops arrived. Despite their smaller numbers, the Americans took quick control. The guard said, “They were technologically very advanced,” and “They didn’t look like anything we’ve fought against before.” He added, “They were shooting with such precision and speed; it felt like each soldier was firing 300 rounds per minute.”
The most shocking moment came when US forces launched a weapon unlike any he had seen. “It was like a very intense sound wave. Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside,” he said. The results were sudden: “We all started bleeding from the nose, some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move. We couldn’t even stand up after that sonic weapon — or whatever it was.”
Press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted the story on X, writing, “Stop what you are doing and read this…” Venezuela’s interior ministry said around 100 security personnel died in the raid, but no clear link yet to the strange weapon’s effects.
A former US intelligence source told the Post that the US military has had directed energy weapons like microwaves and lasers for years. These can cause pain, bleeding, and loss of movement. The guard warned others, “I’m sending a warning to anyone who thinks they can fight the United States,” adding, “They have no idea what they’re capable of.” The incident has shocked Latin America, especially after Trump recently said Mexico was now “on the list.”
