Sri Gurunarayana Kalapetham founder B.A. Narayana said Saint Tyagaraja (1767-1847) inspired musicians worldwide by shaping modern Carnatic music. On Saturday, as part of Sri Tyagaraja Aradhanotsavam in Vizianagaram, he felicitated musicians P.V.S. Seshayya Shastri and Padmavati. The event featured concerts where musicians sang the pancharatna Kritis of Tyagaraja, captivating the audience. The performances took place at Kalapetham premises and later at the Rotary community hall. Mr. Narayana expressed hope that Vizianagaram would continue its role as the cultural capital of Andhra Pradesh by training new musicians. The event was attended by Rotary Dasigi Perraju Music Academy founder D.V. Srikanth, principal Mandapaka Ravi, Kalapetham founder G. Sanyasamma, assistant secretary B. Venkatesh, and reception committee president Ganta Ravi among others.
