The Tamil Nadu government has transferred nine IAS officers in its latest reshuffle announced on January 13, 2026. Satyabrata Sahoo, previously secretary of the Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department, has been moved to secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports Development. K.S. Palanisami now takes charge as secretary of the Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department. R. Gajalakshmi is appointed Commissioner of Land Administration. Kiran Gurrala, earlier Commissioner (Social Security Schemes) in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, becomes Commissioner of Transport and Road Safety. Dev Raj Dev is named managing director of Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation Limited. Har Sahay Meena is now vice chairman of Science City. S. Malarvizhi will serve as Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research. S. Gopala Sundara Raj takes on the role of director at Anna Administrative Staff College and Director General of Training. Lastly, Banoth Mrugender Lal is appointed secretary of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. These transfers aim to strengthen the state administration with fresh leadership in strategic posts.
