The 64th Kerala School Arts Festival, Kalolsavam 2026, started on January 14 in Thrissur, Kerala's cultural capital. Nearly 14,000 students will take part, showing their skills in 249 events at multiple places. The main venue is the Exhibition Ground at Thekkinkadu Maidan. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan lit the ceremonial lamp to open the festival. Education Minister V. Sivankutty and Revenue Minister K. Rajan welcomed the first group of students at the Thrissur Railway Station on January 13. Their arrival was marked by lively Pulikkali performances and colorful umbrellas. The festival will run until January 18, making it a grand celebration of school talent across Kerala.
