QFA Opens Fan Registration for Qatar Supporters at FIFA World Cup 2026
January 14, 2026
The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has launched a registration drive for Qatari nationals who want to travel and cheer for Al Annabi, Qatar's national team, at the FIFA World Cup 2026. The tournament will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This program is for Qataris aged 18 and above, but minors can join if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Priority is given to those holding valid US or Canadian visas.
Applicants must have a passport valid for at least six months after June 1, 2026. Those approved will travel with the official QFA delegation on economy-class flights. The QFA will arrange accommodation and match attendance according to the team's schedule.
The QFA said, "Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance," adding they will review all applications based on eligibility and organizational capacity. Registration may close once the needed number of supporters is reached.
After registration, applicants will be emailed next steps including travel details, appointment dates, and documentation requirements. The fan travel program aims to coordinate fans’ support with the national team’s itinerary and boost team morale.
Qatar secured its spot in the 2026 World Cup through qualification matches, marking a first in its history. Supporting Al Annabi abroad helps celebrate Qatar's rising presence in global sports and unites the Qatari community.
Travel fees and final arrangements will be shared later by the QFA. Interested fans can register via the official QFA portal or contact the association directly for more information.
This fan registration drive mirrors similar Gulf initiatives encouraging organised support. The QFA’s program promises a safe, memorable experience for fans eager to back their heroes on the world’s biggest football stage.
