Tired Tracked Eagle Rescued in Vijayapura Village

On Friday, farmers in Gotyal village, Vijayapura district, found an eagle too tired to fly. They noticed a tag on its leg and immediately called police at helpline number 112. Police officers arrived and learned the eagle was from the Melaghat forest in Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Forest Department had tagged it to track its movements. The bird likely grew tired and hungry after flying far without finding prey. Vijayapura police contacted Maharashtra police and forest officials for help. Now, the eagle is safe in the Jevur social forestry division enclosure.
