On Friday, the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team stunned thousands of spectators with a spectacular air show above the historic Bidar Fort. Led by Commanding Officer Group Captain Ajay Dasarathi, nine aircraft captivated the crowd with sharp and daring moves. The pilots executed vertical climbs, dives, barrel rolls, and close teamwork in the sky. Adding colour to the show, the planes released saffron, white, and green smoke, creating vivid tricolour patterns that reflected India's flag.
The display featured solos, pairs, and full-team formations that surprised viewers from all directions and heights. School and college students were among the excited audience who watched the roaring jets with wide eyes. The scene of these “metal birds” soaring above Bidar Fort filled the air with excitement and joy.
The event was attended by many dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Girish Badole, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shivanand B. Karale, and Air Commodore Parag Lal, Air Officer Commanding of Air Force Station Bidar. Also present were Vaishali Lal, president of the local Air Force Families Welfare Association, senior Air Force officers, district officials, personnel, families, and local people.
