The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) announced on January 16, 2025, that it will deliver gold (jaggery) prasadam to devotees unable to attend the Sammakka Saralamma Jatara. The biennial festival is set to begin on January 28 at Medaram, where lakhs of devotees gather to offer gold to the tribal goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma. Officials recognised that many elderly and unwell devotees face challenges traveling to Medaram. To help, TGSRTC teamed up with the Endowments Department to deliver sealed prasadam packets at homes. These packets include a small gold offering, photographs of the goddesses, jaggery, turmeric, and kumkum, priced at ₹299. Devotees can book the service through the TGSRTC Logistics website or at designated counters across Telangana. This initiative ensures every devotee can participate in the sacred tradition, no matter where they are.
