District Police Recover and Return 173 Lost or Stolen Mobile Phones Using CEIR Portal

The District Police have traced and returned 173 mobile phones that were lost, stolen, or misplaced in different police areas. Superintendent of Police Adduru Srinivasulu said this during a press meet when handing over the phones to their rightful owners. The owners had earlier filed complaints on the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. Acting on these reports and with help from the CEIR portal staff and cybercrime police, the District Police located the devices. Out of 173 recovered phones, 66 were found in the Aland sub-division, 22 in the Rural sub-division, 74 in the Shahabad sub-division, and 11 by the Cyber (CEN) Police. Mr. Srinivasulu urged the public to report lost or stolen phones on the CEIR portal. He also praised the police officers and staff who worked hard on this recovery operation.
