BSS Gurukulam Higher Secondary School, Alathur (Palakkad), has done it again by winning the best school trophy at the 64th State School Arts Festival. The festival ended on Sunday with BSS Gurukulam leading the competition. The school scored a total of 238 points and received A Grades in 47 different events.
Hariprasad, the team manager and a Sanskrit teacher at the school, praised the students' talents. He said, "We have immensely talented performers such as Anaga Prasad, who is one of our greatest assets." Anaga performed in five items—Ashtapathi, Mappilapattu, Ganamela, Thiruvathirakali, and Sangaganam—and secured A Grades in all.
Another standout performer was Ameya B. Pramod. She took part in four events—Mohiniyattam, Kerala Nadanam, Nadodi Nritham, and Sanganrutham—and won A grades in each.
The school focuses deeply on training its students. Hariprasad added, "Training never really stops at our school. As soon as one festival concludes, we start grooming students for the next, with equal emphasis on artistic excellence and cultural values."
