Shivamogga police and Fire and Emergency Services are searching for four people missing near Bhadra Right Bank Canal at Kudligere, Holehonnur, on January 18. The missing are Neelabai, 50, her son Ravikumar, 23, daughter Swetha, 24, and son-in-law Parashuram, all from Arebilachi village. Relatives said the group went to the canal to wash clothes that afternoon but did not return. Their clothes were found at the canal, and two bikes they used were parked nearby. Local residents suspected they might have drowned and alerted the police. Shivamogga Additional Superintendent of Police A.G. Cariappa and Holehonnur Police Inspector Shivaprasad visited the spot. Fire and Emergency Services joined the search, which paused overnight and resumed on January 19.
