A ten-foot birthday card linked to Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein controversy now stands on the National Mall in Washington, DC. This large installation faces the US Capitol at 3rd Street between Madison and Jefferson Drive. One side shows the full birthday letter attributed to Trump, including the line, “We have certain things in common, Jeffrey,” ending with, “A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday— and may every day be another wonderful secret.” The reverse side carries a short message, “Happy Birthday to a ‘Terrific Guy!’”, decorated with balloons. This giant mockup highlights a letter Trump denies writing but has sparked renewed political attention. Created by the group Secret Handshake, the statue is meant as an interactive protest. Visitors can "sign" the large card with their own messages to the administration. Next to it stands a smaller sculpture of stacked boxes symbolizing redacted files. A plaque invites people: “Feel Free To Sign The Birthday Card With Your Own Message To The Administration.” The statue was installed overnight on Sunday, timed one day before Epstein’s birthday on January 20. It will remain on the Mall until Friday. People have started gathering to leave messages. One wrote, "History has its eyes on you!" Another message stated, "The time is always right to do the right thing. IMPEACH." The installation is creating buzz online. A user posted, "HOLY SMOKES: A giant replica of the Trump-to-Epstein birthday card just got planted on the National Mall in D.C. today. Sometimes the receipts don’t need a caption. They need a billboard." Another said, "Trump should stroll out there today and sign it." Others found the idea "golden." The birthday letter, dated 2003, was released by House Democrats in September. It was attributed to Trump for Epstein’s 50th birthday. Trump has called it “false, malicious, and defamatory.” This installation is the latest in a series of anti-Trump art pieces on the Mall, including statues and sculptures referencing Epstein and January 6.
