Russia Showcases New IL-114-300 and Superjet 100 at Wings India 2026
January 20, 2026
Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of the Rosetec State Corporation, will display its newest regional aircraft, the Ilyushin IL-114-300 and the Superjet 100, for the first time outside Russia at Wings India 2026. The aviation show, Asia’s largest, takes place from January 28 to 31 at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad.
The Superjet 100 will be shown in a special livery with Indian flag elements. It is built using Russian serial production technology and equipped with Russian PD-8 engines by United Engine Corporation (UEC). Under Russia’s import substitution plan, the plane also has a Russian-made cabin, which will be shown to the public for the first time.
The turboprop IL-114-300 uses domestic components and TV7-117ST-01 engines from UEC. It will participate in flight demos at the event. Designed for regional travel, the IL-114-300 can operate independently from small and short-runway airfields across climates ranging from Arctic to tropical zones.
UAC is a Russian state-owned aerospace group under Rostec, bringing together major aircraft designers and makers including Sukhoi, Ilyushin, Tupolev, Yakovlev, and Irkut. Rostec highlighted strong Russia-India tech cooperation aligned with India’s Make in India and UDAN programs. They noted, "India is one of Russia’s strategic partners. Our civil aviation industry also has great potential. India’s UDAN programme aims to expand regional airports and air travel, paving the way for commercial success of the SJ-100 and IL-114-300 in the local market."
