Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) set a new revenue record by earning ₹27.68 crore on January 19, 2026. This is the highest earning day in the Corporation’s history. APSRTC served 5.06 million passengers across the state on that day. To handle the post-Sankranti travel rush, APSRTC ran special bus services at regular fares. This helped passengers save on travel costs and encouraged many to choose APSRTC over private transport and personal vehicles. APSRTC took several steps including advance bus deployment, proper infrastructure setup, and dynamic service allocation to meet demand. The effort involved drivers, conductors, depot and garage staff, supervisors, and officers. APSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao praised the team and thanked passengers for their strong support. He expressed confidence that this support will continue in the future.
