The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has launched the Ambaari Double Decker Bengaluru Hop-On Hop-Off bus service. The new service begins with three double-decker buses flagged off on Wednesday by Minister H.K. Patil at Ravindra Kala Kshetra. This initiative is a joint effort by KSTDC and the Karnataka Department of Tourism, aimed at providing a convenient way for tourists and residents to explore Bengaluru's heritage and landmarks. The buses run on a circular route starting and ending at Ravindra Kala Kshetra. Important stops include Hudson Circle, Visvesvaraya Museum, Queens Road (Chinnaswamy Stadium Road), Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Road near Vidhana Soudha, KR Circle, and Corporation Signal. An official said, "The hop-on hop-off model allows passengers to board and alight at designated stops, offering flexibility to explore landmarks at their own pace. The Ambaari double-decker buses, already a familiar sight in Mysuru, have been customised to provide an enhanced city-viewing experience in Bengaluru." Each 40-seater bus has two decks and is wrapped with images highlighting Karnataka's art, culture, wildlife, and tourist spots. Audio-guided commentary will help passengers learn about locations along the route.
