A 31-year-old man, Mekala Suresh alias Michael from Gadigarevula village, was arrested and sent to judicial remand for breaking legal conditions. He had multiple cases against him, said Gadivemula Sub-Inspector C.C. Nagarjuna Reddy. On April 24, 2025, Suresh was seen acting suspiciously with some men from Nandyal town. They fought with villagers in Gadigarevula. Suresh was then taken to the Tahsildar and Mandal Executive Magistrate. He agreed not to commit crimes for one year and gave a surety of ₹1 lakh if he failed. Despite this, on December 3, 2025, he attacked someone in Kottapalli village. A case was filed by Nandyal Taluka Police. After being released, Suresh was produced again before the Tahsildar for violating conditions and was told to pay the ₹1 lakh surety. He said he could not pay, so the police arrested him and sent him to Nandyal sub-jail.
