SpiceJet, a low-cost airline, has announced direct flights between Ahmedabad and Sharjah. The service begins on February 5, 2026. It aims to meet the rising demand from business travelers, tourists, and the Indian expatriate community. This new route will be SpiceJet’s second connection in the UAE after Dubai. The airline will operate five flights a week, excluding Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Flights from Ahmedabad take off at 8:20 pm and arrive in Sharjah at 10:20 pm. Return flights depart Sharjah at 11:20 pm and reach Ahmedabad early morning at 3:30 am the next day. Return fares start at around Dh900, depending on availability and taxes, according to SpiceJet’s website. SpiceJet’s Chief Business Officer, Debojo Maharshi, said, "Sharjah’s position as a key regional hub makes it an important addition to our network." He added that the growth in travel between India and the UAE triggered this new connection. Sharjah International Airport already serves about 25 daily flights to Indian cities. Air Arabia and Air India Express operate many of these flights, connecting Mumbai, Delhi, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Surat. Passengers can now book Ahmedabad-Sharjah flights via SpiceJet’s website, app, or official travel agents.
