Two Suspected Members of Himanshu Bhau Gang Arrested After Police Encounter in Haryana

Two suspected members of the Himanshu Bhau gang were arrested after a police encounter near the UER-2 flyover on January 22, 2026 night. Police intercepted Vicky alias Mogli (37) and Chander Bhan (39) while they were travelling on the Hirankudna-Dichau village road. When police asked them to stop, Vicky fired at the officers. In response, police shot and injured Vicky in his left leg. He was first taken to Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital and later referred to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. His condition is stable.
Vicky, a resident of Bahadurgarh in Haryana, carried a bounty of ₹5,000 by Haryana Police. He is wanted in a double murder case from Meham police station and another murder case at Sampla police station in Rohtak district. He is also linked to cases involving arms and assault. Police said, "Vicky is a close associate of key operatives linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang and was actively evading arrest."
Chander Bhan, from Rohini in Delhi, was caught on the spot. Police are checking his criminal background. Authorities seized a .32 bore pistol with 12 live cartridges from Vicky. Chander Bhan had a country-made firearm with six live cartridges. Their car was also taken into custody. Forensic and crime teams examined the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
