The Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA), working with Adilabad Police, seized 109 unlabelled bottles of Oxytocin injections in Adilabad on Thursday, January 22, 2026. The bottles, each holding 200 ml, were found with Mr. Mautho Aravind Kumar. Officials said these injections were illegally kept for sale and meant for misuse in dairy cattle. Oxytocin is often unlawfully given to animals to forcibly increase milk output. The DCA warned that such illegal use can harm animal health and is against the law. "The abuse of oxytocin in livestock, particularly its illegal administration to enhance milk production, constitutes an offence under the law," said DCA officials. They added that investigations are ongoing, and strict legal action will be taken against all involved.
