Dubai’s First-Time Home Buyer Programme Spurs Over 2,000 Home Sales in Six Months
January 23, 2026
Dubai’s First-Time Home Buyer Programme is turning dreams into reality for thousands. Launched in July 2025, the government-led plan has helped over 2,000 residents buy their first home within six months. Property sales worth more than AED3.25 billion were achieved, reveals the Dubai Land Department.
The programme, a joint effort by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism and Dubai Land Department, is open to residents of all nationalities and income levels. It offers first-time buyers priority access to new properties, tailored mortgage solutions, and special pricing.
Interest is soaring with over 41,000 registrations so far. Nearly half of the buyers have lived in Dubai for more than five years without owning a home, showing how the plan supports long-term residents putting down roots.
Hadi Badri, CEO of Dubai Economic Development Corporation, said, "The Programme reflects Dubai’s collaborative model, strengthening investor confidence and accelerating the real estate sector’s contribution to growth."
Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector, noted, "Total real estate transactions reached AED917 billion in 2025, with the Programme playing a key role in converting demand into completed purchases."
Buyers call it a turning point that simplifies the buying process and offers long-term stability. With growing support from developers and partners, the programme is set to expand, making Dubai’s property market more inclusive and resilient.
