Emirates Cancels Multiple US Flights Due to Winter Storm Fern Impact
January 24, 2026
Emirates Airlines has cancelled several flights to and from the United States between January 24 and January 26. The move is due to Winter Storm Fern, which is causing snow, ice, and strong winds in the south, east, and central US.
The airline listed these cancelled flights: EK221 and EK222 between Dubai and Dallas on January 24; EK231 and EK232 between Dubai and Washington on January 25; EK201 to EK204 between Dubai-New York on January 25 and 26; EK205 and EK206 between Milan and New York on January 25; and EK209 and EK210 between Athens and Newark on January 25.
Emirates said cancellations affect outbound and inbound flights. It warned that passengers with connecting flights through Dubai on cancelled US flights will not be accepted for travel at their origin. This includes both direct and connecting routes.
Passengers impacted should contact their travel agents or Emirates directly for rebooking and support.
The airline apologized for the inconvenience and confirmed it is closely monitoring the storm situation. Winter Storm Fern is causing widespread air travel issues in the US with cancellations, delays, and travel waivers at many airports.
