Another shooting involving federal law enforcement happened in Minneapolis at East 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue, Governor Tim Walz said on Saturday. Walz spoke to the White House after the shooting. He strongly criticized the federal operation targeting immigrants. "I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it," he posted on X. "This is sickening. The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now," he added, addressing President Donald Trump. Video shared online shows federal agents wrestling with a man just before a shot was fired. Authorities have not released full details yet. The Department of Homeland Security told Fox News the suspect was armed with a gun and two magazines. The city of Minneapolis posted on X, "We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details. We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area." This incident comes amid ongoing daily protests in the Twin Cities. These protests started after the January 7 shooting of Renee Good, 37, who was killed during a federal crackdown when an ICE officer fired into her SUV in south Minneapolis. Good was the mother of a six-year-old child and had two other children living with relatives. Her death has intensified protests and political debate across the US. More information is expected soon.
