Greece Biscuit Factory Fire Kills 3, 2 Missing in Trikala

A fire erupted early Monday at a Violanta biscuit factory near Trikala, central Greece. Thirteen workers were inside when the blaze started. Eight workers escaped safely, but firefighters found three dead inside. Two workers are still missing. A loud explosion was heard before the fire began. An investigation is underway to find the cause.
Drone footage showed thick smoke from the site. Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis told Skai news that six workers and one firefighter were hospitalized but are in good health, mostly with breathing issues. The Greek fire service deployed 40 firefighters and 13 fire trucks to control the blaze.
