A major accident was narrowly avoided in Bengaluru on Monday when a train struck a BMTC bus at a railway crossing in Sadaramangala, Kadugodi. The bus was moving from Sadaramangala towards Kadugodi on Railway Parallel Road. The bus driver reversed onto the tracks and hit a passing train. Parts of the bus were damaged in the crash. Thankfully, no passengers were inside the bus, so no one else was hurt. However, the bus conductor suffered injuries. Police and railway officials reached the scene quickly. They took the injured conductor to the hospital. The bus driver was also detained for further investigation. The incident highlights the dangers at railway crossings and the need for caution.
