The Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad (KSSP) held its Thiruvananthapuram district conference and decided to set up a new science centre in the state capital. This centre will be a hub where children can grow their scientific curiosity. Youth will study science and take part in lively discussions. Researchers will share ideas and work together. The centre aims to use science and technology to empower society. It will have digital resources and be friendly for elderly and disabled visitors. Special focus will be on gender studies and spreading technology in rural areas. There will be a scientific lab, digital studio, science library, conference hall, and dormitory. At the conference, a resolution was passed asking that toilets near roadsides be properly maintained and made operational. KSSP State secretary V.K. Nandanan presented plans for future activities. New district leaders were also announced: B. Nagappan as president, Anil Narayanaru as secretary, and R. Jayachandran as treasurer.
