IndiGo announced on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, that flights to Tbilisi, Almaty, Baku, and Tashkent will remain cancelled until February 11. The cancellations were earlier set to end on January 28. The airline said it is avoiding Iranian airspace due to the current situation there. Flights on these routes usually last six to seven hours. IndiGo uses A320neo aircraft for these flights, which cannot take longer detours as they lack the fuel range for it. The tensions between Iran and the United States have increased fears of a possible military conflict. As a result, IndiGo has adjusted its flight schedule for safety reasons. The airline shared this update on its X (formerly Twitter) account.
