The J.B. Nagar police arrested a domestic help for allegedly stealing gold, diamond jewellery, and cash worth ₹1 crore from his employers' home in Bengaluru. The complaint was filed on January 21 by a couple from Texas, USA, living in a villa on Rustumbagh Main Road. The couple, who work in an MNC, left for work in the morning and found the theft on returning home in the evening. They suspected their domestic help, who had worked for six months. Police registered a case and quickly traced the accused near the villa. He confessed to the theft and said he hid the valuables in his home at Sudhamanagar. Police recovered 176 grams of gold and diamond jewellery plus ₹39,000 in cash. The accused was sent to judicial custody after a court hearing.
