The blackbox of the ill-fated Learjet-45 that crashed in Baramati, killing Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and four others, has been recovered. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said the investigation is moving quickly. "Ensuring a thorough, transparent, and time-bound inquiry remains a top priority," the Ministry said in a statement on January 29, 2026. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau’s Director General and three officials reached Baramati soon after the crash. Another team of three officers from the Civil Aviation Director General's Mumbai office also arrived at the crash site. The Ministry is fully committed to completing the investigation within a set timeframe.
