Melo chose two NBA legends, Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson, to be his presenters at this grand ceremony. Talk about star power! The official Hall of Fame account revealed this exciting news on X (formerly Twitter), confirming the names of the presenters. As sports reporter Ian Begley shared, “Carmelo Anthony selected Hall of Famers Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson as presenters for his upcoming induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.” Not just that, Dwight Howard also picked Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing as one of his presenters. Dwyane Wade himself is thrilled. Posting on Instagram, he wrote, “D WADE & AI PRESENTING MELO AT THE HALL OF FAME CEREMONY 🫡>>>” and simply added one powerful word: “Honored!” The friendship between Wade and Melo goes way back. They have shared the court multiple times as Team USA members during the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. Although they never played together in the same NBA season, their respect and bond grew stronger. Dwyane Wade even once called Carmelo Anthony a “brother,” showing their deep connection beyond basketball. On his side, Carmelo Anthony feels this moment is the pinnacle of his journey. He said on a recent podcast, “For me, that’s it. There’s nothing else in basketball I can do … that’s the pinnacle, that’s the door….” Hard to argue with that!
