Suspected Pakistani Drone Spotted Over Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba Border, Security Forces Launch Search

Security forces detected a drone, suspected to be from Pakistan, hovering briefly over Indian territory along the International Border (IB) in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday, January 31, 2026. The drone appeared near Chillyari village. After hovering for a couple of minutes, the suspicious flying object returned towards Pakistan. Following the drone sighting, police and security forces conducted a search operation in Chillyari village and nearby areas. They scanned multiple locations along the IB to make sure no weapons or narcotics were dropped. Officials also recalled a similar incident on Friday, January 30, 2026. A drone suspected to have originated from Pakistan briefly hovered over Indian land near Ratanpur village in the Ramgarh sector of Samba district. These incidents have kept border security forces on high alert.
