Telangana's State Task Force of the Excise and Prohibition Department arrested five individuals, including two women, during multiple operations across Hyderabad. In the first case, two women named H. Basanti and Komple Premala were caught selling ganja near Nampally Basti Hospital. Police seized 1.12 kilograms of ganja from them. A separate case was registered against Mohammed Soyal for his involvement. The contraband and accused were handed over to Nampally Excise authorities. In another set of raids carried out by the STF-D team at three locations, three more persons were caught with ganja. Police seized 280 grams from Raghupathi Harish near Forum Mall in Kukatpally, 350 grams from Karam Thoti Mahesh at Vinayak Nagar in Golconda, and 300 grams from Nikhil Prem Kumar in Ameerpet. All seized ganja and accused have been transferred to their respective excise stations. Police stated that investigations are ongoing and legal proceedings will follow.
