US Anchor Savannah Guthrie Pleads in Emotional Video as Mother’s Abduction Search Continues
February 5, 2026
US news anchor Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have shared a touching video asking their mother’s abductor to come forward. "We are ready to talk," Guthrie said in the video posted on Instagram. The 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie disappeared over the weekend in Arizona. Authorities said they received a possible ransom note and are working with the FBI to check its authenticity. In the video, Guthrie, joined by her sister Annie and brother Cameron, became emotional and tearful. "Mommy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman," she said, voice breaking. "Everyone is looking for you, mommy. Everywhere. We will not rest. Your children will not rest until we are together again." Investigators in Arizona have not yet found a suspect. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos described a full-scale search using dogs, drones, helicopters, and FBI support. Officials have asked the public for help in finding Nancy Guthrie.
