The Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, chairman of Al Falah University. This follows two FIRs filed after a complaint from the University Grants Commission (UGC). The action comes after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) started proceedings on the matter. The Crime Branch filed cases citing alleged irregularities and forgery linked to the private university's operations after the Delhi blast near Red Fort.
