NASA Lets Astronauts Use iPhones to Capture Space Moments on Artemis Mission
February 7, 2026
NASA astronauts traveling farther into space than ever before will use Apple iPhones to document key moments during upcoming missions. The crews for the Artemis lunar fly-by next month and a mission to the International Space Station in February will carry the latest smartphones, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman announced. "We are giving our crews the tools to capture special moments for their families and share inspiring images and video with the world," Isaacman said in a social media post. This initiative is part of NASA's plan to work with private companies to speed up space exploration. The smartphones will help astronauts share their unique experiences from space with everyone on Earth.
