Adidas Apologizes for Privacy Breach in Hong Kong Fitting Room, Promises Review
February 7, 2026
Adidas has apologized for a fitting room incident at its Langham Place store in Hong Kong. A woman said a staff member and other customers opened the curtain while she was inside. The company said it met the customer to offer an apology and help. Adidas said, “Adidas has always valued customers’ shopping experience, with safety and privacy being our top priorities. The recent incident at the Langham Place branch reflected shortcomings in our operational management and resulted in an unpleasant experience. We sincerely apologise.” To prevent similar incidents, Adidas has suspended the temporary fitting room at the branch and added signs. Adidas will hire an independent consulting firm to review its fitting room designs for better privacy protection. The staff member involved has been reassigned. The company will follow police investigation results, laws, and internal rules for further action.
