Polavaram Project Authority (PPA) CEO Yogesh Paithankar said the Centre and Andhra Pradesh governments are united to complete the Polavaram project within the set time. At a review meeting on Saturday at the project site, he told officials and contractors to prepare and follow a strict action plan to finish all parts on time. He confirmed all design approvals and legal clearances will be given quickly. Mr. Paithankar said, "The Centre and the State are in constant coordination to expedite the project, keeping in view its national importance." Earlier that day, he visited key construction spots such as Gap-1, Gap-2 and the Earth-Cum-Rock Fill dam. Officials from the Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Department and Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited updated him on progress and milestones. He also checked the status of rehabilitation and resettlement for families affected by the project and demanded strict timelines for completion. Several senior engineers and MEIL managers joined the meeting, including Chief Engineer M. Ramesh Kumar and MEIL General Manager A. Gangadhar.
