A man named Shaminder Singh was arrested on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Amritsar. He is accused of killing AAP leader Lucky Oberoi in Jalandhar, Punjab. Police caught him after a brief gunfight in the Khasa area. They found a .30-bore pistol with him, said Deputy Inspector General Sandeep Goel. Police suspect Oberoi's missing servant might be involved. CCTV footage shows two vehicles linked to the crime: a two-wheeler and a Hyundai Creta. Police filed a case against two named accused, including foreign-based gangster Jograj Singh alias Joga Pholriwal, and two unknown men. Joga Pholriwal posted online claiming responsibility for the killing. Police say personal enmity is likely behind the murder.
