Govt Degree College for Women Srikalahasti Hosts 3-Day Cyber Safety Program

The Government Degree College for Women in Srikalahasti held a three-day awareness program on 'Cyber safety and digital literacy'. The program focused on cyber frauds, ethical digital service use, cyber laws, legal rights, and crime reporting. It was organized under the PM-USHA scheme, linked to the New Education Policy, to prepare students for digital challenges. Programme coordinator B. Durga Anuja said the aim was to sensitize students to online threats and equip them with skills for safe digital use.
College Principal B. Rajasekhar highlighted how students learned about major cyber threats in 2025, legal remedies, securing personal devices, responsible social media behavior, digital literacy for daily life, spotting misinformation, and safe online banking and e-commerce. The sessions were led by Syed Irfan Ali and Mohammed Abdul Farman from Black Buck Education. Co-coordinator A. Sumathi and IQAC coordinator T. Malathi Gabriel also took part in the event.
