Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday that Tehran will never give up uranium enrichment, even under the threat of war from the United States. Speaking at a forum in Tehran, Araghchi expressed deep distrust of Washington, questioning if the US is serious about the ongoing negotiations. "Why do we insist so much on enrichment and refuse to give it up, even if a war is imposed on us? Because no one has the right to dictate our behaviour," he declared. Araghchi also dismissed the US military presence in the region, referring to the arrival of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea, saying, "Their military deployment in the region does not scare us." The US and Iran resumed nuclear talks on Friday in Oman after years of pause, but Iran remains firm on its uranium enrichment stance and calls resilience its true "atomic bomb."
