Dense fog covered parts of the UAE early Tuesday, February 10, causing low visibility and disrupting morning traffic. The National Centre of Meteorology issued red and yellow alerts warning that horizontal visibility had dropped sharply and might worsen until 9am. Several coastal and inland areas were affected during peak travel. Authorities warned drivers of sudden visibility drops and the higher risk of accidents if caution is ignored. In Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority asked motorists to follow safety guidelines. Digital signboards reminded drivers during the busy morning rush. In Abu Dhabi, residents received alerts on their phones about reduced speed limits on multiple roads caused by thick fog. Despite the fog, daytime temperatures are set to stay comfortable, with highs of 29°C in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. Night temperatures will range from 15°C to 18°C in cities and drop to 8°C at Jebel Jais. The Liwa area may see temperatures up to 32°C. Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from south-westerly to north-easterly at speeds of 10-20 kmph, with occasional gusts up to 30 kmph. Sea conditions will be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea. Authorities urge residents to stay alert during early mornings and follow updates as the weather changes.
