Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is taking part in the World Defence Show 2026 (WDS-26) in Saudi Arabia. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said this shows Pakistan as a growing center of aerospace innovation and reliable defense solutions. The ISPR stated, “World Defence Show 2026 serves as a premier global platform for defence and security.” PAF is presenting its advanced JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter jet and the Super Mushshak trainer aircraft. The ISPR described the JF-17 Block-III as “the pinnacle of Pakistan’s combat aviation technology.” It features advanced avionics, AESA radar, an electronic warfare suite, and beyond-visual-range combat abilities. It is a powerful 4.5 generation fighter jet built to meet modern air force needs. The Super Mushshak is praised for its reliability, low cost, and ease of maintenance. It is used by several friendly countries for basic pilot training and remains a benchmark aircraft worldwide. PAF’s participation expresses their goal to boost defence cooperation, promote exports, and build partnerships. The ISPR said the event allows international defence leaders to connect with PAF representatives and explore cooperation, training, and tech transfer. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed in January that many countries are interested in buying the JF-17 jets. Indonesia, Bangladesh, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia have shown interest. Azerbaijan already inducted the JF-17 into its air force in 2024, becoming the third country after Myanmar and Nigeria to do so.
